Many fuel service stations will allow you to fill your water tanks when purchasing fuel.  Ask first as they may not have a suitable or readily accessible water outlet.  Some Visitor Centres have water and if not, they will usually know where water can be obtained.

In most cases a tap is supplied but you need to supply your own hose.  In some cases a multi fit tap handle will be required as handles may have been removed to prevent vandalism and water theft or wastage.  If there is no handle, be sure you have permission before taking water from these sources.

A town may not be listed here because it does not have a suitable water fill point available for the public, the Shire may not want to advertise water supply as a feature but may allow supply if requested, or it may be due to difficulties in obtaining information about that town or region.
